1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and TaoScape ("we", "us"). By accessing or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use TaoScape. By using the service you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Nature of the service
TaoScape provides AI-assisted readings based on Chinese metaphysics (BaZi, the I Ching, and the Chinese zodiac). All readings are generated for cultural, spiritual and entertainment purposes only. They are not professional advice and must not be relied upon for medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other major decisions.
4. Accounts & security
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for safeguarding your credentials, and for all activity under your account. New accounts require email verification before full access. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
5. Pricing & payment
Each reading includes a free preview. Full reports are optional paid digital products; the price is shown clearly before purchase. Payments are processed by third-party providers; by purchasing you also accept their terms. All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise and may include applicable taxes.
6. Refunds
Purchases of unlocked digital reports are handled under our Refund Policy. Please review it before buying.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to disrupt it, reverse engineer it, scrape content, infringe others’ rights, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
8. Intellectual property
The TaoScape name, branding, software, and the format of generated reports are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use your reports for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not resell or redistribute them.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaoScape and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on a reading. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes
We may update the service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which TaoScape operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; unresolved disputes are subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country.
