TaoScape

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026 · GDPR & CCPA aligned

1. Who we are

TaoScape is the data controller for the personal information processed through this service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have.

2. Information we collect

Account data (email address); reading inputs you provide (date, hour and place of birth, your question, areas of focus); transaction data when you purchase; and technical/usage data (device type, browser, approximate region, interactions) collected automatically.

3. How we use your data

To generate and deliver your readings; to create and secure your account; to process payments and provide support; to send service messages and, only with your separate opt-in, marketing emails; and to analyze usage so we can improve and protect the service.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

We rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver readings you request); your consent (for marketing); and our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, analytics, and improving the service), balanced against your rights.

5. Local storage, cookies & similar technologies

We store data on your device using browser local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, retain your unlock state during a session, and measure usage through Google Analytics. Analytics loads when you visit the site. You can block or clear this data through your browser settings, though some features may stop working.

6. Sharing & processors

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with vetted service providers acting on our instructions — such as payment processors, email delivery, hosting and analytics — under contracts that require appropriate safeguards, and where required by law.

7. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect it.

8. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it. You can request earlier deletion.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may access, correct, delete or port your data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and opt out of marketing. California residents have the right to know and delete, and we do not sell personal information. To exercise rights, contact us; you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and other safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes & contact

We may update this policy and will highlight material changes. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
